Deviant UK

SINCE MATERIALISING IN 2004, Jay Smith's Deviant UK has established itself as a force to be reckoned with on the European Dark Alternative scene. The long-awaited debut album 'Barbed Wire Star' was released in September 2006, spawning the anthemic club hits 'Raptured Saints' and 'Access Denied!'. Their unique sound is powerful, distinctive and instantly accessible.

Quintessentially English and proud of it, Deviant UK is masterminded by devilish singer, songwriter and frontman Jay Smith ("a true showman with an ego the size of a planet" - Rocksound Magazine). On the 'gothic scene', this is as close as we have to the cartoon pop star, a self-confessed minor celebrity who never fails to provoke a reaction from the underground scene he calls his own.

Musically, this is dark synthetic pop with a black heart, fusing pumping electronics to dancefloor beats while Smith's frozen, angst-ridden vocals coat every song in ice. It is this understanding of pop science that stands Deviant UK head and shoulders above their peers.

Driven by a distinctive image and huge stage presence that works hand-in-hand with the music to present a total package that ticks all the boxes, the influences are worn proudly on the sleeve but Smith has developed a unique sound that is instantly recognisable. With an unwavering belief in the value of the 'pop star' Smith engages audiences head-on with an overwhelming confidence that is equal parts arrogance, charisma and psychosis.

Method Cell

Founded in early 2008, UK based industrial synthcore unit Method Cell have quickly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting, innovative electronic acts to emerge out of the UK underground scene in recent times. Combining high energy harmonics and acerbic lyrics with searing bass and beats, Method Cell prove there’s more to a club hit than swearing by numbers, and industrial doesn’t have to mean monotone.

Method Cell signed to Rebco Records in early 2010, then an additional deal with WTII Records for North/South America. Soaring from strength to strength, Method Cell released their début album, “Curse Of A Modern Age” on 1st September 2010. Following the success live shows around the UK (including support for Combichrist) plus regular international club and radio play, industrial synthcore unit Method Cell make their mark with an album set to shake up the scene.

Alex Holmes is Renoized, an electro-industrial artist from Nottingham, UK. The newest addition to the industrial scene is determined not to be ignored, captivating the ears with infectious melodies and relentless beats. Driven by the love of the stage and a lust for the limelight Renoized is ready to make his voice heard and carve out a niche in a scene already filled with an abundance of outstanding acts.

Renoized cut his teeth in death metal, performing as part of several different unsigned metal acts but began to drift towards the darker, angrier side of industrial around 2010. This provided the wide range of influences that can be heard in his music with some of the most prominent being Suicide Commando, Combichrist and Phosgore with just a touch of his old flames in the death metal scene.
